Liang is the youngest of the seven children of a low income family. Yet, despite this, he always dreamed of helping his family alleviate themselves from the plight of poverty. A diligent working student, he supported himself through college by working in a fast food chain(mcdonalds) and a video shop (videocity) while studying at holy angel university in angeles city pampanga. All his sacrifices has paid off as he graduated with a BS education degree. He is a filipino-chinese.

Tha angeles city native started working working as a part time ramp model, until his manager discovered he can sing. This became a turning point in Ronnie’s career as his manager encouraged him to join singing contest, among them was Pinoy Pop Superstar. He first rose to notoriety as a grand contender that was disqualified from the singing competition because he had a manager.


Liang then joined pinoy dream academy and made it past the initial screening and was fortunate enough to be one of the 20 scholars study inside the academy. After few months, Ronnie made it to the honor list of six and ended up as a PDA’s second runner up. Then released his first album RONNIE LIANG Ang Aking Awitin under universal records and was awarded Gold record last 2010 and with his carrier single NGITI was awarded SONG OF THE YEAR and best male performance of the song GUSTO KITA. And released his second album titled Ronnie Liang MAY MINAMAHAL under viva records and was awarded Gold last october of 2013.
