Ronnie Liang supported World Cancer Day

Ronnie Liang’s birthday happened last January 31st which was the last day of the musical Bituing Walang Ningning the Musical at the Resorts World Manila which He was one of the lead casts/performers, and Miss Sharon Cuneta the original Dorina Pineda was one the guest audiences during its final night and after a day last February 2 Singer/Actor Ronnie went to Philippine Children Medical Center for his post Birthday Celebration with the cancer stricken kids which he has been doing for 9yrs, this is the way Ronnie Liang pay back the blessings he has received for the year 2015 and some of those were becoming part of Multi Awarded Musical Production Bituing Walang NingNing the Musical which he got an award for 28th Aliw awards as Best Actor in a featured role & his 3rd album Songs of love hit the Gold Record status. This is also his way of supporting the World Cancer Day last February 4 thursday.

On Ronnie’s post Birthday party He visited the ward section where the children’s suffering of cancer were taking Chemotherapy and  while Ronnie continue giving toys&food for the kids, at the corridor of the ward section a woman approached Ronnie and said Sir Ronnie my son wishes to see you he joined your party last year but wasn’t able to join today, her son is Kiel Amon 7yr old suffering of leukemia, Ronnie came to her and went to her son’s room and when He saw kiel, he(kiel) waved his hand and said Kuya Ronnie, kuya Ronnie Thank you po, his mom told the story about her son kiel when he joined the party last year the toys&cup cakes kuya ronnie gave him was kept well and told everyone that he wants ithem as a remembrance and he wrote Kuya Ronnie’s name on it.

The night right after Ronnie’s post birthday celebration on the said hospital,one of the doctors texted him giving him the news that Kiel Amon died. Ronnie was informed that majority of the kids who joined the party last year were all dead and most the kids who joined the party that morning were new ones.

A Breakout year for Ronnie Liang

Ronnie Liang’s evolution as an artist is in full swing and 2015 was his big breakout party. After entering the scene as a balladeer, Ronnie has slowly transformed himself into a complete artist having transitioned effectively from singer to all-around actor.  
This past year, Ronnie made huge strides in his career by stepping out of his comfort zone. He took a daring role in the independent film ‘Esoterika: Manila’ and did his first theater stint as part of Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) ‘Bituing Walang Ningning: The Musical’.

While the former added merit to Ronnie’s talent as an actor, with the movie going on to win the Film Critics Choice Award during the 63rd FAMAS, the latter got him a well-deserved individual distinction by earning the plum for Best Actor in a Featured Role at the 28th Aliw Awards.

Ronnie’s gripping performance in the musical proved to be a significant point in his career as he includes theater in his growing repertoire as an artist. Also, having share the spotlight with other notable stage performers helped with his progression as a performer.

Joining Ronnie in the all-Filipino production are fellow Aliw Award winners Mark Bautista (Best Actor in a Musical), Cris Villonco (Best Actress in a Musical), Menchu-Lauchengco-Yulo (Best Actress in a Featured Role), and newcomer Monica Cuenco (Best New Female Artist). All in all, ‘Bituing Walang Ningning: The Musical’ took home six awards out of a possible seven nominations, including the plum for Best Musical Production.

Ronnie Liang Best Actor (in a featured role)

Singer/Actor Ronnie Liang who is a first timer when it comes to musical/stage play  had proven himself the he can perform and be a versatile artist. Ronnie a product of abscbn reality show Pinoy Dream Academy who ended up a 2nd runner up and Popularized the Hit Song Ngiti got his 1st award from the 28th Aliw Awards as Best Actor in a Featured role. I remember our management keeps on telling us that when We love our work/job, we do our best on our performances & make our audience happy they will love us in return Ronnie recalled. Ronnie Liang together with Mark Bautista, Cris Villonco, Monica Cuenco & Menchu Lauchengco his co-actors at Bituing Walang Ningning the Musical also  got an Awards. Bituing Walang Ningning the Musical also named as Best Musical for the 28th Aliw awards held at Star Theater Pasay City.

Ronnie Liang A Global Handwashing Ambassador 

Singer & Actor Ronnie Liang named as the Global HandWashing Ambassador by the Department of Health & Department of Education at Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). Ronnie Liang a former Brigada Skwela Ambassador, A Teacher, A graduate of Bachelor of Education major in General Science; Physics, Chemistry & Bioloy Major is now a Global Handwashing Ambassador. 

Ronnie was invited to grace the ceremony last monday October 26 at cotabato city the ARMM capitol, Present during that time were the ARMM Deped(Deparment of Education) Regional Secretary Dr. John Magno & DOH Regional Secretary DR. Kadil M. Sinolinding Jr. the Students & Teachers and the foreign partners G.I.Z of the Global HandWashing Campaign in ARMM.

Ronnie Liang nominated for Best Actor in a Featured Role

Singer/Actor Ronnie Liang is one of the nominees of the 28th Aliw Awards as Best Actor in a Featured Role. He portrayed the role or Gary Diaz (joel torre) in the 1985 original film Bituing Walang Ningning. It was his 1st act in a musical/stage play.
